After stepping into American Idiot for a week as devious drug peddler St. Jimmy, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong bid the audience at his final performance on October 3 a fond farewell as he took the stage during curtain call. Before breaking into the show's usual encore of Green Day's megahit "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" Armstrong performed a little ditty penned especially for the occasion. "I left my blood like bullets over Broadway," he sang of his Great White Way debut, "but I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive..." The St. James Theatre was certainly alive all week thanks to Armstrong's presence...Idiot's box office pulled in a whopping $1,092,334. Take a look at Armstrong's performance below.
