Broadway will be get nutty this November when Brendan Fraser and Tony winner Denis O'Hare take the stage in the mental institution-set comedy Elling. Tickets for the show, which begins performances at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre November 2, are now on sale. Opening night is set for November 21.
Adapted by Simon Bent from the Ingvar Ambjornsen novel and its subsequent Academy Award nominated film, Elling features Fraser and O'Hare as roommates in a mental institution who together face the challenge of establishing a normal life when released from their confines. As the title character, O'Hare suffers from acute anxiety following his mother's death, while Kjell is a childlike 40-year-old eager to lose his virginity.
