Kelli O'Hara to Headline the Encores! Revival of Bells are Ringing

Bells are Ringing for three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara! The actress will star as Ella Peterson alongside Will Chase as Jeffrey Ross in the Encores! presentation of the 1956 musical by Jule Styne, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The cast will also feature Dylan Baker as Inspector Barnes, Bobby Cannavale as Blake Barton, Judy Kaye as Sue Summers, Brad Oscar as Dr. Kitchell, David Pittu as Sandor Prantz, Danny Rutigliano as Francis, Jeffrey Schecter as Carl and John C. Vennema as Larry Hastings. As previously announced Tony winner Kathleen Marhsall will direct the production for its November 18-21 run at City Center.

Bells Are Ringing centers on a lonely young woman who runs an answering service and falls for a client she has met only by voice.The show originally opened on Broadway on November 29, 1956 at the Shubert Theatre and ran for 924 peformances. The show scored four Tony Award nominations including Best Musical and took home awards for stars Judy Holliday and Sydney Chaplin. A 2001 revival, starring Faith Prince and Marc Kudisch, played the Plymouth Theatre for 68 performances.
