Bells Are Ringing at Encores!

Encores! begins its 2010-2011 season with Bells Are Ringing. The 1956 musical by Jules Styne, Betty Comden and Adolph Green is set to star Kelli O'Hara as central character Ella Peterson.

Bells Are Ringing centers on a lonely young woman who runs an answering service and falls for a client she has met only by voice. The show originally opened on Broadway on November 29, 1956 at the Shubert Theatre and ran for 924 peformances. The show scored four Tony Award nominations including Best Musical. The Encores production will also feature Will Chase as Jeffrey Ross, Dylan Baker as Inspector Barnes, Bobby Cannavale as Blake Barton, Judy Kaye as Sue Summers, Brad Oscar as Dr. Kitchell, David Pittu as Sandor Prantz, Danny Rutigliano as Francis, Jeffrey Schecter as Carl and John C. Vennema as Larry Hasting.
