With a plum role canoodling with Kristin Chenoweth in Promises, Promises on Broadway, Tony Goldwyn has plenty to keep him busy these days. But the actor, most famous for his roles in films like Ghost, The Pelican Brief and Nixon, is also a film producer and director and his latest project hits theaters everywhere October 15. Conviction, which Goldwyn has fostered for nine years, stars Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell. The film is based on the true story of Betty Anne Waters, who went to law school to prove the innocence of her imprisoned brother. When not behind the camera, Goldwyn is testing his chops in his first-ever role in a musical, and Promises seems to have whet his appetite for more.
