An array of theater vets, including Tony nominee Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, TV's Glee) and Mamie Gummer (Les Liaisons Dangereuses) are headed to the big screen in the indie film Twelve Thirty, due to be released in January 2011. The cast also includes Reed Birney and Halley Feiffer (currently co-starring off-Broadway in Tigers Be Still at Roundabout Underground), Karen Young (featured last season in the off-Broadway revival of A Lie of the Mind), Portia Reiners and Barbara Barrie.
Written and directed by Jeff Lipsky, Twelve Thirty is described as a drama that takes on the nuances of family life and the relationship between mothers and daughters. The three women of the Langley family live together in a seemingly close household, yet each is very much alone. Groff stars as a self-centered young man who, in the span of a week, becomes entangled in each of their lives. For a preview of this intriguing new flick, click on to the trailer below.
