Kristin Chenoweth to Perform During Previously Announced Promises Absences

Kristin Chenoweth will perform in Promises, Promises during a previously planned leave of absence from October 19 through 27. Chenoweth was scheduled to depart the show temporarily to film another guest spot on the TV series Glee. Due to a shift in the series production schedule, however, Chenoweth will not reprise her Emmy-nominated turn as April Rhodes until spring 2011.

Chenoweth's, who was recently voted Broadway's funniest performer by Broadway.com readers, will be out of the show from December 29 through January 1, 2011. Promises, Promises will play its final performance on January 2, 2011, after 30 previews and 291 regular performances. The hit revival opened at the Broadway Theatre on April 25, 2010.

Chenoweth co-stars alongside Sean Hayes as Chuck Baxter, Tony Goldwyn as J.D. Sheldrake, Molly Shannon as Marge MacDougall and Dick Latessa as Dr. Dreyfuss.
