Five-time Emmy winner John Larroquette will make his Broadway debut in the upcoming revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Larroquette will play World Wide Wicket Company head J.B. Biggley opposite previously announced star Daniel Radcliffe as J. Pierrepont Finch. Performances begin February 26, 2011, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre with an opening night set for March 27, directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford.
Larroquette was last seen on the New York stage in Oliver Parker! He also starred in Oscar and Felix: A New Look at the Odd Couple at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse. Larroquette received four Emmy Awards for his work on TV's Night Court and a fifth Emmy for guest starring on The Practice. His many other TV credits include The John Larroquette Show, Boston Legal, McBride and Happy Family.
Billed as the 50th anniversary production of the show, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying features a book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert and a score by Frank Loesser. The show centers on a young window-cleaner, J. Pierrepont Finch, who begins a meteoric rise from the mail-room to Vice President of Advertising at the World-Wide Wicket Company. How to Succeed originally opened on Broadway in October 1961. The show won seven Tonys and became one of only eight musicals to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. A 1995 Broadway revival ran for 548 performances at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
