It seems that Eve Plumb, who starred on the hit sitcom The Brady Bunch as middle sister Jan Brady and is now starring in the off-Broadway comedy Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating and Marriage, has been following the progress of her TV mom Florence Henderson on TV's Dancing With the Stars—and she was not happy about Henderson's elimination from the show.
“I have been watching [Dancing with the Stars], and she’s been working so hard and doing so well,” Plumb recently told Broadway.com. “I didn’t see the part where she got kicked off, and I’m glad I didn't because it makes me mad. She's great.”
Henderson and her pro partner Corky Ballas were given walking papers after performing a tango to the theme song from The Brady Bunch, in a week dedicated to television theme music.
Henderson and Plumb recently reunited on stage at Broadway Backwards 5 at Lincoln Center, a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center. Henderson hosted the show, in which performers sing well-known tunes associated with the opposite gender. Earlier this year, the former Carol Brady presented her concert act All the Lives of Me . . . A Musical Journey at Joe’s Pub.
Plumb is set to open in the title role of Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating and Marriage on October 24 at the Downstairs Lounge at Sofia's.
