When a beloved Broadway musical celebrates its 50th birthday, it’s definitely time to put on a happy face—and that’s exactly what the Tony-winning creators and original cast members of Bye Bye Birdie did on October 20 at an emotion-packed reunion at Sardi’s. The late afternoon event included a presentation by Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz of a special ASCAP award to Birdie composer Charles Strouse and lyricist Lee Adams. Everyone in attendance looks just marvelous, so click on and hum a few bars of “A Lot of Livin’ to Do” while you enjoy our golden anniversary photo gallery.
