First Look: Wings Takes Flight at Second Stage Theatre

A revival of Arthur Kopit’s staggering play Wings is currently in previews at off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre, and Broadway.com has an early look at the stark, heart-wrenching production directed by Tony winner John Doyle (Sweeney Todd, Company). Jan Maxwell stars as Emily Stilson, a fearless airplane wingwalker who finds herself grounded after suffering a stroke. This exploration into the trauma of strokes and language disorder also stars Teagle F. Bougere, Beth Dixon, January LaVoy, Anne L. Nathan and Michael Warner.
