Gazpacho, Anyone? Squigs Serves Up a Spicy Cast Portrait of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown

To celebrate the opening of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, our resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson hopped a plane to Madrid…er, a cab to the Belasco Theatre on West 44th Street…to see the star-packed cast of Lincoln Center Theater’s new musical. In a portrait that captures all the flavor of the show, Squigs includes nine actors (clockwise from bottom: Danny Burstein, Laura Benanti, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Justin Guarini, Patti LuPone, Mary Beth Peil, de’Adre Aziza, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Sherie Rene Scott), some of whom are closer to a breakdown than others. Here’s wishing them all a fabulous Broadway run!

About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet.
