With Broadway and TV icon Carol Burnett showing up at McKinley High this week as Sue Sylvester's mother, Broadway.com asked what other Broadway legend you would like to see guest star on Glee. The votes are in and readers hope to dance all night with Julie Andrews. The Academy Award-winning actress landed in first place with 34% of votes. In a recent episode, Glee Club member Kurt (Chris Colfer) performed a number from Victoria/Victoria, the 1982 film starring Andrews which she then brought to Broadway in 1995. Colfer even revealed he hopes Andrews will someday guest star as his grandmother.
Another Oscar-winning Glee favorite, Barbra Streisand, landed in second place. The idol of McKinley High diva Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) earned 18% of votes. Michele has already performed Streisand standards on the series such as "Don't Rain On My Parade" and "Papa Can You Hear Me."
Third place went to five-time Tony winner Angela Lansbury. The actress, who recently appeared in the current revival of A Little Night Music, scored 9% of votes.
