For Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, creating and starring in the hit musical In the Heights was only the beginning. Not only has he reprised his role as Usnavi in Los Angeles and Puerto Rico, he is slated to star in the upcoming film version of the show. More highlights? Miranda performed a number from his hip hop album The Hamilton Mixtape, based on the life of Alexander Hamilton, at the White House; translated Sondheim into Spanish when he penned new lyrics for the Broadway revival of West Side Story; and pulled off the most amazing wedding surprise at his real-life nuptials. Now he’s headed back to the Heights for the show’s final two weeks on Broadway before his new cheerleader musical Bring It On (co-written with Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt) opens in Atlanta. Whew! Got questions for this mile-a-minute man? Go ahead, ask a star!
