*NSYNC and Hairspray vet Lance Bass has signed on for a one-night-only guest appearance in Anthony Wilkinson’s off-Broadway comedy My Big Gay Italian Wedding. The show is currently running at St. Luke’s Theatre, directed by Teresa A. Cicala.
In addition to his work in the 90s pop group *NSYNC, Bass played Corny Collins in Hairspray and was a runner-up on Dancing with the Stars. He has appeared in the film I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and on TV’s 7th Heaven, The Simpsons, Star Search and Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
At My Big Gay Italian Wedding, two handsome grooms, one overbearing Italian mother, a jealous ex-boyfriend, the wedding planner from Hell, and an assortment of kooky family and friends all gather together for an evening with lots of laughs and lots of heart. Bass will be the latest celebrity guest star, following Real Housewives Terese Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Caroline Manzo and Lauren Manzo; WOR Radio’s Dr. Joy Browne; and daytime diva Ilene Kristen. Bass’ former boyfriend Reichen Lehmkuhl starred in the show earlier this year.
My Big Gay Italian Wedding currently features David Moretti, Anthony J. Wilkinson, Gregg Baker, Eric Carpenter, Brett Douglas, Liz Gerecitano, Leah Gerstel, Randi Kaplan, Chad Kessler, Kevin McIntyre, Carla-Marie Mercun, Marissa Perry, Meagan Robar, Joe Scanio, Billy Yoder and Adam Zelasko.
