The Book of Mormon Begins

The Book of Mormon, a musical collaboration between the creators of South Park and Avenue Q, begins performances at Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre.

This new musical tells the tale of a pair of mismatched Mormon missionaries—played by The Daily Show correspondent Josh Gad and Jersey Boys alum Andrew Rannells—who are sent off to spread the word in a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get: Uganda. Their story is told alongside that of Joseph Smith, founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints.
