Tony winner Idina Menzel makes her debut with the New York Philharmonic. The evening will be conducted by Broadway composer Marvin Hamlisch and will include a mix of classic pop, musical theater songs (including hits from Menzel's signature shows, Wicked and Rent) and selections from her solo album, I Stand.
A Tony winner for creating the role of Elphaba inWicked, Menzel’s theater credits include a Tony-nominated performance as Maureen in the original production and movie adaptation of Rent and off-Broadway productions of The Wild Party and See What I Wanna See. She was featured last season in TV's Glee and headlined the 2009 London concert version of Chess, which was broadcast on PBS.
