Glee fans have waited patiently during the show's two-month hiatus and as McKinley High readies for its post-Super Bowl return on February 6, cast members Lea Michele and Darren Criss are out singing the show's praises on the covers of Cosmopolitan and Prestige magazines, respectively. Criss can be seen sporting an Armani suit and electric guitar on the cover of Prestige's January issue, while Michele shows some skin on Cosmo's March cover.
"I’ve always wanted to do theater," Criss told Prestige about his career ambitions. "I wanted to be a musician and a composer, have a band … everything. I’ve always wanted to be performing and creating. But I never wanted to be a star or a celebrity type." Criss may be a household name since his Glee debut last fall, but he hopes to use his fame to help others. "The one exciting thing about celebrity is that you get to be in a position to do great things for the world. A lot of our favorite celebrities have given back to the community, and I hope I can do the same."
In Cosmo Michele, who's prepping to sing "America the Beautiful" at the Super Bowl's pregame telecast, revealed to the mag that her ideal night would find her, "[Taking] a shower, put on a robe, pour myself a glass of wine and Skype with [boyfriend and American Idiot ensemble member] Theo [Stockman]. That's the best." Michele is also glad to have never had any romantic entanglements with her Glee co-stars. "I'm so thankful that doesn't happen. If people hooked up, there'd be awkward tension."
