Broadway vet Steven Pasquale has landed the lead in upcoming USA Network pilot Over/Under, according to Deadline.com. He will play Paul, a day trader with a massive gambling problem who is fired from his job six months after a bad trade costs his firm millions. Shut out of the job market, he and his wife move to Brooklyn where Paul finds an unlikely partner and starts a high-end bookie business.
Pasquale appeared on Broadway in Neil LaBute's Reasons to be Pretty, off-Broadway in such shows as The Wild Party, A Man of No Importance and LaBute’s Fat Pig, and is about to open in Tony Kushner's new play The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures at off-Broadway’s Public Theater. He also starred as firefighter Sean Garrity on the FX television series Rescue Me.
Pasquale is not the only one in his family to land a pilot this season; his wife, Tony winner Laura Benanti, recently booked the lead in NBC pilot Playboy.
