Daniel Radcliffe may have wrapped filming the Harry Potter film series, but his wizarding duties aren't quite finished yet. The Rob Ashford-directed revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying will cancel three performances this July so Radcliffe can promote the final Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
Radcliffe's press commitments to endorse the film will result in the show going dark for its July 7 and 8 evening performances as well as the July 9 matinee. Deathly Hallows Part 2 will hit movie theaters on July 15.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying features a book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert and a score by Frank Loesser. The show centers on a young window-cleaner, J. Pierrepont Finch (Radcliffe), who begins a meteoric rise from the mail-room to Vice President of Advertising at the World-Wide Wicket Company. The production also stars John Larroquette, Rose Hemingway, Michael Park, Christopher J. Hanke, Tammy Blanchard and Mary Faber. Opening night is set for March 27 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
