Rumer Willis, Anne Meara, Sonia Manzano and Fredi Walker-Browne will join upcoming casts of the hit off-Broadway production of Love, Loss and What I Wore. Nora and Delia Ephron’s stage adaptation of Ilene Beckerman’s memoir is now in its second year at the Westside Theatre, directed by Karen Carpenter.
Willis, Manzano and Walker-Browne will join previously announced cast members Donna McKechnie and Annie Starke, appearing March 23-April 24. Meara will join restaurateur and lifestyle expert B. Smith in cast that will appear April 27-May 29. Additional cast members for March, April and May will be announced shortly.
Willis has appeared in the movies Summit’s House on Sorority Row, House Bunny, From Within and the forthcoming The Diary Of Preston Plummer. Meara, known for her comedy partnership with husband Jerry Stiller, received a Tony nomination for Anna Christie and appeared on Broadway in Eastern Standard. She has written several plays and earned five Emmy nominations.
A 15-time Emmy winner for writing Sesame Street, Manzano has been playing Maria on the show since the early 1970s. She has appeared onstage in the original production of Godspell plus The Vagina Monologues and The Exonerated. Walker-Browne created the role of Joanne Jefferson in Rent and has appeared onstage in The Lion King and Once On This Island.
Through March 20, the cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore includes Katrina Bowden, Sabrina Le Beauf, Orfeh, Barbara Rhoades and Kim Zimmer.
