Alison Fraser, who is currently appearing off-Broadway in The Divine Sister, will star as Arsinoe in David Ives' Moliere-inspired The School For Lies at Classic Stage Company. Fraser joins previously announced stars Mamie Gummer, Jenn Gambatese and Hamish Linklater. Performances begin April 13 with opening night set for May 1. The limited engagement, directed by Walter Bobbie, will run through May 22.
Fraser received Tony nominations for The Secret Garden and Romance/Romance. Her other Broadway credits include Gypsy, Tartuffe, Falsettos and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. In addition to The Divine Sister, her off-Broadway work includes The Chaos Theories, An Oak Tree, Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams, Prodigal, Swingtime Canteen, Up Against It, Beehive and In Trousers.
Also set to appear in The School for Lies are Stephen Boyer, Frank Harts, Rick Holmes, Hoon Lee and Matthew Maher.
