Broadway theaters will dim their lights for one minute on March 16 at 8pm in honor of stage manager Beverley Randolph, who died March 15 of cancer at age 59. At the time of her death Randolph worked as a production supervisor for The Addams Family.
During her 30-plus year career, Randolph worked on many Broadway productions, including Curtains, Little Women, Into the Woods, The Sound of Music, Passion, The Kiss of the Spider Woman, Falsettos, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Follies in Concert, Cabaret, Merrily We Roll Along and Chapter Two. She is survived by her husband James Eisner, mother Sarah DaCosta, sister Carolyn Borlo, brother-in-law Joseph Borlo and niece Sarah Randolph Borlo.
"Beloved and talented stage manager, Beverley Randolph, was one of the many unsung heroes whose tireless efforts make Broadway magic happen every performance," said Paul Libin, Chairman of The Broadway League and Executive Vice President of Jujamcyn Theaters. "Our hearts go out to her friends and family-backstage, on stage and off stage."
A memorial service for the Broadway community will be held at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (current home to The Addams Family) at a date to be announced.
