La Cage's Harvey Fierstein Butters Up Paula Deen on Today

La Cage aux Folles' newest headliner Harvey Fierstein paid a visit to The Today Show on March 16 to talk to about joining the Tony-winning revival (which he originally wrote in 1983.) Regular Today host Kathie Lee Gifford was out for the day, so Fierstein was greeted by her celebrity standby, TV cooking personality Paula Deen. The Food Network star wasn't familiar with La Cage's glitzy world of drag divas, so Fierstein had to fill her in on a few details... and Deen just ate it all up, especially when Fierstein revealed she served as an inspiration for one of his costumes!
