Broadway's most glamorous new musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert is driving toward its March 20 opening night. Broadway.com's resident artist Justin "Squigs" Robertson pays tribute to the all the glitz and glitter with a bright, new drawing featuring show stars Will Swenson, Tony Sheldon and Nick Adams. Squigs also throws in references to the show's flying "Divas", cupcake dresses and the giant disco ball that hangs over the audience. Take a look at the picture above, then plan your own road trip over to the Palace Theatre to catch the show!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home. Photo by Matthew Murphy
