Manhattan Theatre Club has extended its world premiere production of David Lindsay-Abaire’s Good People for an additional three weeks, through May 29. The play, which opened on March 3 at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, had previously been extended through May 8. Good People stars Frances McDormand, Tate Donovan, Estelle Parsons, Renee Elise Goldsberrry, Becky Ann Baker and Patrick Carroll and is directed by Daniel Sullivan.
Because of the extension, MTC’s planned Broadway revival of Terrence McNally’s Master Class starring Tyne Daly and Sierra Boggess has been postponed and will now begin previews on June 14, with opening night set for July 7. The production, directed by Stephen Wadsworth, will run through August 14.
Good People has been running near full capacity at the Friedman since receiving excellent reviews.
