In honor of Norbert Leo Butz's return to Broadway in Catch Me If You Can, Broadway.com asked readers to pick their favorite of the Tony winner's past roles. The votes are in, and fans most enjoyed seeing Butz "dancing through life" as Wicked's Fiyero. The charming prince landed in first place with 31% of votes. Butz originated the role in 2003, and got to romance both of the show's lovely leading ladies, Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel!
Following closely in second place came Jamie from The Last Five Years, with 30% of votes. Butz starred in the 2002 off-Broadway musical opposite Sherie Rene Scott, playing a sparring couple whose story is told through alternating points of view.
Butz's Tony-winning role as Freddy in 2005's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels landed in third place. The comedic con man pulled in 23% of votes.
Thanks for voting, and be sure to head to the Neil Simon Theatre to catch Butz in action as Carl Hanratty in Catch Me If You Can.
