It’s been a busy year for Justin Guarini, with two Broadway shows (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and American Idiot) and now the birth of a baby boy. The American Idol runner-up and his wife, Reina Capodici, welcomed William Neko Bell Guarini on April 26. People.com reports that William arrived at 6:26AM and weighed seven pounds, two ounces.
Perhaps referring to the final performance of American Idiot on Easter Sunday, Guarini was quoted as saying, “Quite a polite fellow for waiting until late Monday, early Tuesday to make his entrance. With a full head of curly brown hair, wide open and alert eyes, he came charging into the world.”
William joins big sister Lola, Capodici's six-year-old daughter from a prior relationship. "Reina is doing wonderfully and should be given a medal for going 10 months and 1 week with child,” Guarini said, in what sounds like an exaggeration of the length of his wife’s pregnancy. “She performed beautifully and only had to push for 15-20 minutes before the babe arrived.” Guarini and Capodici, who have known each other since high school, were married in his hometown of Doylestown, PA, in September 2009.
