Legendary rock deejay "Cousin Brucie" Morrow began a week-long cameo appearance in the Tony-winning musical Memphis on May 3, linked to the paperback release of his book Rock & Roll…And the Beat Goes On. Cousin Brucie finds echoes of his life in the fictional story of Huey Calhoun (played by Chad Kimball), and he opens Memphis with a role written especially for him by the show’s librettist, Joe DiPietro. Broadway.com captured a hot shot of this radio great after his Broadway bow. See him at the Shubert Theatre through May 8.
