The Book of Mormon Tops 2011 Tony Awards With Nine Wins

Broadway’s big night has arrived! With a brand new venue (the Beacon Theatre) and award-winning host (Neil Patrick Harris), the 2011 Tony Awards telecast was an exciting evening celebrating the best shows, performances and creative efforts of the season. The Book of Mormon reigned over the evening with nine awards, including Best Musical. Lincoln Center Theater's War Horse topped the plays of the evening, taking home five Tonys, including Best Play.
