First Look! Julian Ovenden, Rebecca Luker and More Bring Life to Death Takes a Holiday

A decidedly grim character is making his way to the off-Broadway stage in Roundabout Theatre Company's production of the new Maury Yeston musical Death Takes a Holiday. Julian Ovenden stars as the title character, who arrives at an Italian villa disguised as a handsome young Prince just after World War I. For the first time he experiences the joys and heartbreaks of life, unexpectedly falls in love with a newly engaged young woman (Jill Paice) and discovers that love may in fact be stronger than death.
