Lady Gaga Goes 'Out Tonight': Watch The Pop Diva Channel Rent in New 'Edge of Glory' Video

Is Lady Gaga a Rent-head? The music video for her new video "The Edge of Glory" suggests the pop star may be inspired by the Tony-winning musical. Dressed in a tight leather outfit, Gaga belts out the blaring '80s tinged-song on a fire escape, much like Rent's sweetheart stripper Mimi Marquez (originally played by Tony nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega). In the rock number "Out Tonight," Mimi shows off sexy moves on an Alphabet City fire escape and begs her neighbor, Roger, to bring her out for a night on the town. Take a look at Gaga's new video below, then compare it to this clip of "Out Tonight," featuring Renee Goldsberry from Rent's final Broadway performance in 2008.
