Tony nominee Mary Testa (Xanadu, Guys and Dolls, 42nd Street, On the Town) is headed off-Broadway this summer in Tricks the Devil Taught Me, a new play written and directed by Tony Georges. The production will begin previews at the Minetta Lane Theatre on July 29 and open on August 18.
Joining Testa will be Beth Grant (Little Miss Sunshine, Pushing Daisies), TJ Linnard (Guiding Light) and Desiree Rodriguez, with additional casting to be announced shortly.
A press announcement for Tricks the Devil Taught Me describes the play as “a contemporary drama set in the fiery confines of West Texas.”
Tricks the Devil Taught Me will have set design is by Eli Kaplan-Wildmann, costumes by Asa Benally, lighting design by Scott Davis and sound design by Walter Trarbach. The play is being produced by Circa 1440 Inc., Idle Mind Ltd and Maddy Bassi.
