When last we saw Russell Edgington on True Blood, the murderous vampire king of Mississippi was being encased in wet cement—but the fact that he wasn’t killed left the door open to a return. The Tony-winning actor told the website Film School Rejects that he will indeed be back, but in season five, scheduled to run in the summer of 2012.
"They were definitely bringing me back, it was just a matter of if they wanted to bring me back the last couple episodes [of season four] or bring me back at the beginning [of season five]," O’Hare said. His flamboyant character is a joy to play, the actor added: "I love that Russell has this intense passion for life; literally a passion for living and a passion for life."
Most recently a co-star of the short-lived 2010 Broadway comedy Elling, O’Hare continues to be busy on the small screen, appearing as a judge in four episodes of The Good Wife and co-starring in Glee creator Ryan Murphy’s forthcoming TV movie American Horror Story.
