Tony winner Laura Benanti will appear on the cover of the October issue of Playboy magazine, according to the actress' Twitter page. Benanti stars in NBC's upcoming series The Playboy Club as an original 1960s Bunny named Carol Lynne.
"So excited to shoot the October cover of Playboy for [The Playboy Club]!" Benanti tweeted. "Carol Lynne is coming to a news stand near you."
There's no word on wardrobe details for the cover shoot, or whether Benanti's co-stars (including Amber Heard and Jenna Dewan) will join her in the photos. The show's cast signed a nudity clause after filming the pilot, but Benanti doesn't think she'll have to show much skin. "We were all laughing about that," she told Broadway.com earlier this year. "I mean, it’s NBC! What are they going to show? We did sign a release, but they have assured us that we are not going to be nude." The actress has shown off her figure to Tony-winning effect as Louise in Gypsy and in a Tony-nominated performance as a ditzy model in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.
The Playboy Club will air September 19 on NBC.
