Audra McDonald Talks Performing at New York's First Gay Wedding and Previews Porgy and Bess on The View

It's not every day a four-time Tony winner takes a gig as a wedding singer! On July 24 Audra McDonald, who will return to Broadway this fall in Porgy and Bess, celebrated the legalization of gay marriage in New York state by performing at the wedding of one of the first gay couples to legally tie the knot. The following day, McDonald stopped by The View to talk about the historic experience and why the cause of marriage equality is so important to her.
