Screen charmer Matthew McConaughey proves he can deliver a good scare in this clip from the forthcoming film adaptation of Tracy Letts' 1998 play Killer Joe. Directed by Oscar winner William Friedkin (who previously brought Letts' Bug to the big screen), Killer Joe follows a debt-ridden young man named Chris Smith (Emilie Hirsch) who looks to Killer Joe (McConaughey) to help murder his addict mother in hopes of collecting her life insurance money. Because Chris is unable to pay Joe's fee upfront, the no-nonsense assassin says he's willing to accept Chris' younger sister as collateral. Take a look below at this intense scene from the movie, then catch Killer Joe in theaters this fall!
