Tony-nominated TV favorite Scott Bakula has signed on for Saul Rubinek's Terrible Advice alongside Caroline Quentin, Sharon Horgan and Andy Nyman at London's Menier Chocolate Factory. Directed by Frank Oz, the production begins September 22, with opening night set for September 29. The limited engagement will run through November 11.
Bakula earned a Tony nomination for Romance/Romance and appeared on Broadway in Marilyn and Is There Life After High School? He earned four Emmy nominations for Quantum Leap and has been featured in the series Star Trek: Enterprise, Chuck, Murphy Brown, Men of a Certain Age and The New Adventures of Old Christine.
The storyline of Terrible Advice is described as follows: "Stanley (Stinky to his friends, played by Nyman) and Jake (Bakula) are best friends. Hedda (Quentin) and Delila (Horgan) are best friends. Jake loves Hedda; Stinky loves Delila. Stinky plans to marry Delila, until Jake shares some secrets and then gives him some advice."
The production will feature set design by David Farley, lighting design by Paul Anderson and sound design by David Ogilvy.
