The young stars of Glee have jumped from TV to the big screen in Glee: The 3D Concert Movie, and they’re giving credit to their stage training for helping them feel at ease performing live. In a recent group interview about the movie, Amber Riley, whose pre-Glee credits include Into the Woods and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, noted that she and co-stars Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Jenna Ushkowitz were experienced at facing audiences directly, with no chance of a re-take. Broadway vet Michele, however, pointed out that there’s a big difference between singing in a small theater and a giant venue like the Staples Center.
