News broke earlier this week that Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark leading man Reeve Carney would play his rock 'n roll doppelganger Jeff Buckley in an upcoming bio film about the late singer. However, another heartthrob actor/musician also reportedly had his sights set on the project: Twilight's Robert Pattinson.
It seems that movie role might not be the only thing Carney wants to take away from the screen vampire. E!'s Ted Casablanca jokes that Carney also has his eye on Pattinson's girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. "Dreamt that I fell in love with Kristen Stewart," Carney recently posted on his Twitter account, "and then spent the rest of the dream being chased around by a man with a machete." Hmm! The actor also tweeted about meeting Stewart when she came to see his rock band, Carney, last year, saying, "She is such a sweetheart."
In addition to Carney's film, a second biopic of Buckley is in the works with Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley playing the singer, who drowned in 1997 at age 30. Pattinson and James Franco had reportedly been in the running to headline Greetings from Tim Buckley, the movie that will feature Badgley.
