1. Alan Rickman, Seminar - 22%
Fresh off completing the Harry Potter film series, Alan Rickman is headed back to Broadway. The two-time Tony nominee will play prolific author Leonard in Theresa Rebeck's new play, Seminar. Rickman will teach a new generation of writers (including co-stars Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater) when the show starts its run on October 27 at the Golden Theatre.
2. Hunter Parrish, Godspell - 21%
After starting his own drug dealing service on the seventh season of Weeds, Hunter Parrish is set to lead the first Broadway revival of Godspell as Jesus. Parrish, who made his Broadway debut in 2008 as a replacement Melchoir in Spring Awakening, will headline Stephen Schwartz's beloved tuner beginning October 13 at Circle in the Square Theatre.
3. Harry Connick, Jr, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever - 13%
Acclaimed singer Harry Connick, Jr. scored a Tony nomination in 2006 for The Pajama Game, and this fall he's tackling another musical revival, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. Connick will play psychiatrist Dr. Mark Bruckner in Michael Mayer's revised version of the Burton Lane and Alan Jay Lerner tuner. Performances begin November 12 at the St. James Theatre.
