Tickets Now Available for Tony Winner John Lithgow in The Columnist

John Lithgow specializes in playing powerful men, whether comedic (Third Rock from the Sun) or tragic (Dexter). Tickets are now on sale to see the two-time Tony winner play mid-century columnist Joseph Alsop in David Auburn’s The Columnist at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Lithgow will begin performances on April 3, 2012, directed by Daniel Sullivan.

Set at a time when columnists are kings and Joseph Alsop wears the crown, The Columnist paints a portrait of a man who is beloved, feared and courted in equal measure by the Washington political world at whose center he sits.
