Hailed by director Rob Ashford as “an international superstar,” Nick Jonas was all smiles at a September 7 Sardi’s press conference introducing him as the incoming star of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The well-spoken pop star and Broadway vet—who will turn 19 on September 16—described himself as “thrilled, honored, humbled and blessed” to play his first grown-up musical leading role, window washer-turned-corporate climber J. Pierrepont Finch, in the hit revival. “The music is absolutely incredible,” Jonas said, explaining that he’s been listening to the score on his iPod since snagging the coveted role. “‘I Believe in You’ is a song that as a vocalist I can’t wait to sing.” Click on to see the handsome young star at Sardi’s—which he last visited at age eight when his Annie Get Your Gun co-star Reba McEntire got her caricature. Maybe Nick is next!
