Tony-winning playwright David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly) is heading back to Broadway with the new play Chinglish, and on September 12, Hwang joined his company in their New 42nd Street Studios rehearsal room for a meet and greet. Gary Wilmes stars as an American who travels to China in the hopes of getting business for his signage company only to run into some unforeseen cultural roadblocks. The comedy, which begins previews on October 11 at the Longacre Theatre, centers on an unexpected love story, not to mention the hilarious things that are lost and found in translation.
