It’s that in-between time on Broadway, when the kids have gone back to school and the new fall season hasn’t revved up yet. Adding to the uncertain atmosphere was the tenth anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks, which may have made potential visitors wary of venturing to the city. Whatever the reason, most shows on Broadway experienced a noticeable drop, particularly family-friendly titles. Immune, as usual, was The Book of Mormon, which jumped a spot on the grosses frontrunners’ list and soared to the top of the list for capacity.
