The 1992 Disney movie musical Newsies had been transformed into a stage production, which is getting its world premiere at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse. Jeremy Jordan leads the pack of rambunctious newsboys as they go on strike against the powerful newspaper companies of the early 20th century. The production is full of tunes from the original film such as "Seize the Day" and "Santa Fe," as well as several new songs composed especially for the stage adaptation.
