The Book of Mormon's Tony nominated star Josh Gad has joined the cast of Stuart Blumberg's sex addiction comedy Thanks for Sharing, according to Variety. The cast also features Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim Robbins and Joely Richardson as a group of unlikely friends trying to recover from sex addictions and forge meaningful relationships.
Gad will play Neil, a sex addict with a strong appetite who cheats his way through treatment until Ruffalo's character steps in as his sponsor. Blumberg co-wrote the film with Matt Winston.
Thanks for Sharing marks the second recent high profile gig for Gad, who also just scored a guest spot on TV's Emmy-winning comedy Modern Family. Gad made his Broadway debut in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and earned a Tony nod for The Book of Mormon. His film and TV credits include Love and Other Drugs, The Daily Show, Back to You, 21, Party Down and The Rocker.
