Venus in Fur Lands on Broadway

Venus in Fur, starring Hugh Dancy and Nina Arianda, begins previews at Broadway's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

Venus in Fur goes behind the scenes at an audition, where a man and a woman blur the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and sex. Portraying an actress named Vanda, Arianda arrives at the audition studio with a bag filled with S&M gear and period costumes. Soon, the playwright joins her in reading his own script, which touches on themes of domination and the nature of attraction.
