Jon Robin Baitz's Acclaimed Other Desert Cities Begins Broadway Previews

The wait is over: Jon Robin Baitz’s acclaimed play Other Desert Cities will play its first Broadway preview on October 12 at the Booth Theatre. Original off-Broadway stars Stockard Channing, Stacy Keach and Thomas Sadoski will be joined on Broadway by Oscar nominee Rachel Griffiths and Tony nominee Judith Light in a production directed by Joe Mantello. Opening night is set for November 3.

Other Desert Cities centers on the powerful Wyeth family, who have come together to spend the holidays in Palm Springs. When the adult daughter (Griffiths) announces that she is about to publish a memoir filled with family secrets, her parents (Channing and Keach) brace themselves for revelations they would prefer to keep hidden.

Although Baitz is well known in theater circles for plays such as The Substance of Fire and Ten Unknowns, his work has never been produced on Broadway until now. Get tickets to share in the excitement of Other Desert Cities!
