Tony-winning playwright David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly) is back on the boards on October 11, when his new play Chinglish starts previews at the Longacre Theatre. Leigh Silverman directs the piece, which will officially open on October 27.
Inspired by the mangled mixture of languages born out of cultural collision, Chinglish chronicles the journey of an American businessman who travels to China looking to score a lucrative contact for his family's sign-making firm.
The love story stars Gary Wilmes stars as the American businessman, Stephen Pucci as a British expatriate and business consultant and Jennifer Lim as a Chinese official. Head to the Longacre Theatre and check out Chinglish on Broadway!
